The real estate world of the 21st century is an era of change. Homes being bought and sold in new ways - and in old ways - and I believe I am a real estate agent who has a balanced set of skills to get the job done.

As an example, let me point to computer-based real estate. Your search for a home - or for a buyer - should, in part, be technology driven. Computer applications will make the task of home buying or selling faster and easier, which are important advantages that I want you to have. My client work begins with MRIS database utilization and continues through the internet and worldwide web communications.

However, I don't want you to overlook the one Realtor competency that's even more important: people skills. I believe that I have the ability to represent you and interact effectively with the wide range of people active in today's market. I believe it's important to turn people on - not off - and to demonstrate sensitivity, yet a tough business sense - in order to get you the best deal possible. Please remember that while you are hiring a real estate company, you are also hiring a person. Real estate is a personal service business.

I also wish to point out that I am a full-time professional who also has the expertise you need in the areas of financing, marketing, contracts and negotiation. I hope you will conclude that my background demonstrates I have the balance of strengths that you need to make your real estate transaction a very positive experience.

I was born and raised in Springfield, Massachusetts. After graduating from Baldwin-Wallace College in Ohio with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education, I became an elementary school classroom teacher and reading specialist. I taught for 11 years in the San Jose, California area.

After relocating to Fairfax, I became a licensed Realtor in 1983 and a licensed Real Estate Broker in 1988. I have been married for 35 years and have 2 children.

My real estate experience includes managing an office of approximately 40 agents and instructing at the Long & Foster Institute (a training program for new agents).
